Kyle H. Wingfield

Kyle Wingfield is a partner at Williams Mullen in Richmond, Virginia. He focuses his practice on resolving tax disputes for businesses and their owners. He has significant experience in managing audits and handling administrative and judicial appeals with the Internal Revenue Service, Virginia Department of Taxation and other state and local taxing authorities. Kyle's experience includes advising multi-state businesses on complex state and local tax issues in mergers and acquisitions. He is knowledgeable on state income, franchise, sale, use and property tax issues in numerous jurisdictions, and he has worked closely with departments of revenues in many states.

He is a frequent speaker on SALT topics at ABA conferences, and he has been selected to the Virginia Super Lawyers Rising Stars (2017-2018). Kyle is also listed among the "Legal Elite" from Virginia Business magazine (2020).

Prior to joining Williams Mullen in 2012, Kyle worked as a senior associate at KPMG, LLP, where he assisted in preparing tax returns and completing tax provisions for large corporate clients. After law school, Kyle worked at a boutique tax law firm in Richmond, Va., where he handled federal and state tax controversy matters.
