  • 1929: The Bureau of National Affairs, Inc. (BNA) is founded by David Lawrence
  • 1959: Tax Management Portfolios are created by Leonard Silverstein
  • 1984: Launch of Income Tax Planner software
  • 1987: Launch of Fixed Assets software
  • 1994: Launch of State Tax Practice Center | Published first electronic version of the research product | Launch of Financial & Accounting
  • 2001: Launch of first web-hosted Fixed Assets software
  • 2002: Acquisition of SuperForms Tax Form (STF Services)
  • 2011: Bloomberg L.P. acquires BNA, kicking off a decade of heavy expansion
  • 2014: Launch of International Tax Practice Center
  • 2016: Launch of new Bloomberg Tax Research technology platform
  • 2019: First to market with State Books, allowing easy state depreciation calculations for nonconforming states
  • 2020: Complete expansion of Bloomberg Tax Research to cover more than 220 countries | Bloomberg Tax & Accounting selected by the IRS to provide online tax research solution
  • 2021: Acquisition of Tax Prodigy software, now Bloomberg Tax Provision
  • 2024: Launch of Bloomberg Tax Workpapers | Product integrations enable connected suite of solutions
