About Dennis
Dennis Tracey is the Head of Litigation for the Americas at Hogan Lovells. He is a partner in the New York office and practices in all areas of complex commercial litigation and arbitration, with principal concentration in the areas of cross-border litigation and arbitration, securities class actions, professional liability, and complex financial disputes. He also represents clients in regulatory enforcement proceedings before the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board, and other regulatory bodies. In addition, he represents corporations and corporate boards in connection with internal investigations and matters of corporate governance.
Dennis regularly advises clients in domestic and international arbitration matters conducted by JAMS, ICC, ICDR, AAA, and other dispute resolution forums, as well as post-award enforcement proceedings. Arbitration matters include representation of a foreign sovereign in post-arbitration judgment enforcement proceedings relating to a US$500 million ICC arbitration award; ICC arbitration proceedings and collateral litigations arising out of a dispute between a major US university and a French corporation; ICDR arbitration proceedings arising out of a major construction and development project in the Bahamas; and numerous other arbitrations and mediations.
Dennis is a regular speaker at professional conferences and educational seminars on a broad range of topics, including accounting and financial reporting litigation, professional ethics and liability, financial fraud, and accountants' liability. He is the co-author of a leading treatise on ethics in accounting titled "Accounting Ethics: Sources and General Applications" and is a contributing author of Settling Commercial Litigation: Negotiating, Drafting and Enforcing Agreements to Resolve Business Disputes.
