Bloomberg Tax’s Christine Boeckel Named to CPA Practice Advisor’s ’20 Under 40 Superstars’ List

ARLINGTON, VA (September 20, 2018) — Bloomberg Tax today announced that Christine Boeckel, deputy editorial director for state tax, was named to CPA Practice Advisor’s 2018 ‘20 Under 40 Superstars’ list for the second year in a row. The list recognizes young professionals who are changing the accounting profession through exemplary leadership, innovative thinking, collaboration with peers, and community outreach.

Christine joined Bloomberg Tax in 2011 and is currently responsible for all analytical content in the state and local tax area, which represents one of the most dynamic areas of taxation due to the passage of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 and the seminal Wayfair ruling. To help practitioners understand the impact and state responses to these milestone events, Christine led the Bloomberg Tax state and local tax team’s development of comprehensive coverage and analysis including specialized sections on Bloomberg Tax providing subscribers with up-to-the-minute news and analysis and state conformity coverage.

“Christine continues to be a strong contributor to the company and to the tax profession,” said George Farrah, Editorial Director of Tax Accounting. “With the Wayfair decision and extremely high levels of state legislative activity as a result of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, she has leveraged her knowledge and strong work ethic to make sure our state tax research offerings are up to date and comprehensive.”
