Randel Friedman is Tax Principal in PwC’s national Specialized Tax Services (STS) where he is the National R&D Tax Credit Product Champion and leads the National R&D Tax Credit Technical Committee and the Philadelphia R&D Tax Credit and Incentives practice.
Randy started his professional career as an entertainment / business litigation attorney in Los Angeles. Joining the firm in 1999, he has leveraged his trial and counseling skills to help Fortune 100 and other companies to identify, document and defend over three billion dollars of R&D Tax Credits and Section 199 deductions. His 26 years of experience working with a large cross section of clients has helped him build a deep knowledge of R&D and manufacturing operations and processes across a variety of industries including: pharmaceutical, life sciences, aerospace, chemical, logistics, software, retail, high-tech, apparel/footwear, food, banking, insurance, and other financial services.
His clients and teams know him as a trusted advocate who combines his deep technical expertise with a collaborative style to develop innovative and practical solutions, resolve complex issues and exams, and to develop technology solutions that enhance benefits and reduce costs.
