Matthew Sullivan is a Managing Director at the Washington National Tax Office of Deloitte Tax LLP. Matt specializes in partnership taxation, with an emphasis on the use of partnerships in mergers and acquisitions and financial transactions. He speaks at various conferences and has co-authored articles that have been published by the NYU Institute of Taxation, Tax Notes, and Tax Planning for Domestic & Foreign Partnerships, LLCs, Joint Ventures, & Other Strategic Alliances (Practising Law Institute).
Before joining Deloitte Tax, Matt worked at an international law firm for four years.
Matt received his B.S. in accounting from Lehigh University, and his J.D. and LL.M. in tax from the Georgetown University Law Center. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the District of Columbia Bar and their respective tax sections. He is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia.
