David Chamberlain is an assistant professor of Accounting and Tax in the Orfalea College of Business at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. He has over 20 years of tax experience in both consulting and government roles. Until August 2017, he was a transfer pricing executive director based in Ernst & Young's Shanghai office. Chamberlain has extensive advisory experience in international tax and transfer pricing services, having practiced in California for nearly 15 years and served in the U.S. Internal Revenue Service APA program for five years. He practiced in China for the past five years. Chamberlain earned his juris doctor (JD) degree from Columbia University in 1992 and his master of laws (LL.M.) degree, with a specialization in taxation, from New York University in 1993.
