Bernard Peeters

Bernard Peeters is a partner at Tiberghien, in Brussels, Belgium, where he specializes in corporate tax, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and international and European tax planning. He received his degree from the University of Brussels (Lic. Iuris); a Special Degree in Company Law at the Unvesity of Brussels, VUB; and a graduate degree in Tax from the Fiscale Hogeschool, Brussels. Mr. Peeters is a frequent lecturer on tax law at the University of Brussels. In 2011, he was appointed as an auxiliary judge to the Antwerp Court of Appeal. Mr. Peeters is a member and former chair of the Tax & Legal Committee of Invest Europe. He is also a member of the Tax and Legal Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Belgium, the Belgian Venture Capital & Private Equity Association, and the International Association of Tax Judges. In 2017, he became a member of the Board of WTS Global. Mr. Peeters is a former Chief Editor and member of the editorial staff of the monthly newsletter “Fiscoloog Internationaal” and a member of the editorial staff of “Tijdschrift voor Fiscaal Recht.” He contributes regularly to financial publications.
