Currently a Senior Consultant for Silver Point Capital LP, Barnet Phillips is a retired Partner from Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, where he was a partner in the tax department for more than 30 years. He was the first head of Skadden's REIT Practice Group. His practice focused principally on corporate tax, (including mergers and acquisitions, bankruptcy and reorganizations), real estate investment trusts, real estate and partnership taxation and charitable, non-profit organizations. Mr. Phillips has also been an Adjunct Professor of Law at Fordham University School of Law.
