Amanda Heale is a partner at Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP in Toronto. She was previously a partner at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt for 13 years where she advised on tax issues related to international tax, mergers & acquisitions, and tax controversy. She developed specialized expertise in transfer pricing, and was involved in leading tax litigation matters, including the first transfer pricing case to reach the Supreme Court of Canada. Amanda clerked with Justice Morris Fish, C.C., Q.C. at the Supreme Court of Canada (2004–2005). Recognized in the tax and tax litigation areas by Chambers Canada, The Best Lawyers in Canada, Euromoney Americas Women in Business Law Awards (Rising Star 2013, shortlisted 2016), and Lexpert's Rising Stars: Leading Lawyers Under 40 (2016), Amanda teaches International Tax at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, as well as Transfer Pricing at the Canadian Bar Association's Tax Law for Lawyers. She is a member of the CPA-CBA Joint Committee on Taxation, the International Fiscal Association (Canada Council, YIN Chair), Canadian Tax Foundation, and the Law Society of Ontario. Amanda was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 2005.
