About Lawrence A.

Lawrence (Larry) Sannicandro represents clients in a wide range of federal and state tax cases. These cases include audits, administrative appeals, collection matters, summons proceedings, litigation, and criminal tax investigations and prosecutions in the U.S. Tax Court, the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, federal district and appellate courts and state tax tribunals.

With his background as a former estate and gift tax attorney for the IRS, Larry excels in estate and gift tax planning techniques and the valuation of closely held businesses. He defends these techniques and valuations in disputes with tax authorities. Additionally, he has proven excellent at advising clients on all aspects of estate, business and tax planning, including the formation, operation, transfer and termination of business entities.

Using his tax background to benefit the community, Larry is a dedicated pro bono advocate. He is also an experienced teacher at several universities. He currently teaches a course in tax practice and procedure as an adjunct professor at Fairleigh Dickinson University. Previously, he taught corporate tax, partnership tax, legal ethics and negotiations as an adjunct professor at Pace University. Larry has also had the opportunity to lecture at both Georgetown University Law Center and Rutgers Law School.
