John Montgomery is a Partner and the National Service Offering Leader in KPMG’s Employment Tax Services Group. John has over 23 years of experience specializing in payroll and payroll tax related issues in a wide array of industries. John’s expertise covers corporate reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, and multijurisdictional withholding policies. John provides services related to employment tax controversy services at the federal, state, and local levels, notice resolutions, penalty and interest abatements, and all other issues associated with a client’s employment tax accounts, including the appropriate classification of individuals as independent contractors or employees. 

Mindy Mayo

Mindy Mayo is a Managing Director in KPMG’s Silicon Valley office.  She has over 30 years of employment tax experience and has assisted clients through a myriad of payroll issues encountered during a company’s life cycle.  Mindy specializes in independent contractor determinations as well as payroll tax audit assistance, leveraging her experience as an auditor to assist clients who are undergoing either a federal or state payroll tax review.  Mindy also has expertise with the US employment tax issues encountered by inpatriate and expatriate employees.

Robert Delgado

Robert Delgado is the Principal-in-Charge of KPMG’s Washington National Tax Compensation and Benefits Group. Robert has significant experience on a wide range of compensation and benefit matters, including qualified retirement plans and executive/management compensation arrangements such as equity, profits interest, nonqualified deferred compensation, incentive, change in control, and severance arrangements. Robert provides tax services related to the design, compliance, and mitigation of such arrangements as appropriate; including, but not limited to, employment tax controversy matters.

William Dunn is a Certified Payroll Professional with more than 25 years of experience in publishing and government relations with a focus on payroll research. He is the Practice Lead for Payroll Taxation and Administration at Bloomberg Tax and the managing editor of Bloomberg Tax Payroll News, the Payroll Administration Guide, and the Payroll International Primers. He holds a B.A. in English from the State University of New York College at Cortland.

Andrés Alejo is a payroll research analyst covering federal tax and labo issues for Bloomberg Tax Payroll News and the Payroll Administration Guide. He is a member of the District of Columbia Bar.
