Learning from the Survey of Local Tax Departments

Venue

This is a virtual event, accessible online and over the phone. Access instructions will be provided after registration.

Description

For the first time ever, Bloomberg Tax surveyed local taxing jurisdictions across the United States to provide information and clarity to our subscribers on basic tax policy and administration in these localities.

The questions asked in the survey center on basic issues, such as what taxes are imposed, whether laws and guidance are publicly available, authorization of local taxing power, and tax administration. In asking these questions, the survey answered the call of state and local tax experts nationwide for more guidance on even the most basic of local tax issues.

This webinar will take a closer look at the challenges faced by taxpayers and practitioners alike when trying to comply with local tax obligations, recent trends in local taxes, and analyze the survey results in these areas.
