About Seong-Kwon
Seong-Kwon Song, the former Assistant Commissioner for International Taxation of the National Tax Service (2014), joined Anjin Tax LLC in 2015 as a principal of Tax Controversy Group. Mr. Song had spent his career at the various tax divisions of the NTS since 1987. His working experiences include the major positions of the National Tax Service (NTS) such as Assistant Commissioner for Collection and Legal Affairs (2013), Assistant Commissioner for International Tax Investigation of Seoul Regional Tax Office (2012), Director of International Cooperation Division (2006-2009), Director of Kyungju District Tax Office (2005), Deputy Director of International Tax Management Division (2004), Research Officer(Tax) of Constitutional Court (2000), Deputy Director of Property Tax Division (1996-1999), Deputy Director of Tax Policy Division of Ministry of Finance (1992-1994), etc. While working at the NTS for 28 years, he obtained a variety of tax experiences and expertise in the areas of transfer pricing, tax audit, collection, appeals, etc. In particular, he engaged in many international tax cases as the Assistant Commissioner for International Taxation and the Director of International Cooperation Division (Competent Authority for MAP & APA). He is a U.S. attorney admitted to the New York Bar, and a Certified Tax Accountant.
